Admission Rules


  1. Introduction: A. Introduction: AEC School was established at RRCAT Colony Indore in 1985. Now It has classes Pre-Prep., Prep and classes I to XII. In Senior Secondary section we have Science Stream and Commerce Stream. A Local Management Committee which includes senior functionaries of RRCAT looks after the smooth and efficient functioning of the school. The Director, RRCAT is the Chairman of LMC of AEC School, Indore.
  2. Admission Rules:
    1. Pupils to the various classes are admitted from 1st April to 30th June only, except in case of transfer from any Atomic Energy Central School.
    2. Admission Test (Applicable only for Non DAE students)
      -There will be no admission test for classes Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Standard I to VIII for the wards of Non-DAE.
      -There will be a common admission test in all AEC Schools (Centre wise) for classes IX and X in Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Science based on the syllabus of CBSE curriculum of the class previous to which the admission is being sought.
      -The admission test will be for 3 hours duration for a maximum of 100 marks (25 marks of each subject).The child has to secure a minimum of 33% in each subject in order to qualify the examination.
      -The admission test at a particular centre will be conducted by the coordinating Principal, if that centre is having more than one school.
    3. Birth Certificate:
      The Birth certificate issued by the Municipality/Municipal Corporation should be submitted while seeking admission to any of the class of Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Std I. The birth certificate issued by Panchayat Office/ Village Mukhiya/ Sarpanch of a Gram Panchayat should be endorsed under the seal and signature of the Revenue/Panchayat Officer of the concerned area and should be produced at the time of seeking admission. Admission will not be granted on the basis of an affidavit in lieu of a birth certificate.
    4. Transfer Certificate:
      Those seeking admission to any class from II to XII will be required to submit a valid and original Transfer Certificate (TC) from the school last attended. The TC produced should be appended with the signature of the Principal/Vice-Principal (if Principal is not available). If the place of birth is not indicated in the TC of the previous school, the proof of place of birth of the child is to be produced. In case of students migrating from CBSE affiliated/State Board School; the TC needs to be countersigned by the concerned Education Officer.
    5. Age of admission:
      The age of admission in the AEC school should be as indicated below:
      (Should complete the age on March 31 of the year in which admission is sought.)

      Class: Age
      Class Pre-Prep : 3 years as on 31st March
      Class Prep : 4 years as on 31st March
      Class I : 5 years as on 31st March
