The basic motivation of organizing PLD – 2001 is to accomplish a forum for professional interactions and dissemination of information on latest and perspective developments in this field. Invited talks by leading experts and young researchers will be delivered and open discussions will be held in this meeting. Visits to the Laser labs and Synchrotron Radiation Source, Indus-1, at CAT and thin film characterization facilities at CAT and IUC, Indore will be arranged to widen the information base.
