The 5^th DAE-BRNS National Symposium on Pulsed Laser Deposition of Thin Films and Nanostructured Materials (PLD-2009) will be organized during December 2-4, 2009 at IIT Madras, Chennai. This meet will be organized jointly by Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. This topical meeting is in continuation of the series of biennial symposia, which was started at RRCAT, Indore in 2001. The subsequent meets were held at the University of Pune, Pune in 2003, S. V. University, Tirupati in 2005 and Saurashtra University, Rajkot in 2007. Scientists, technologists and young scholars pursuing research in the pertinent thematic domain are invited to submit abstracts of their recent findings or developments and participate in the symposium.
