In Indus-1 RF control system EPICS is used as the SCADA system and CSS is used as Graphical User Interface (GUI) development tool. For integrating the ECM with the higher level SCADA systems, the low level driver software is developed in c language for Linux platform using multi-threading library. The ECM driver is comprised of seven sub modules naming Main module, RS485 module, Datalogging module, PVSS serving module, EPICS serving module, GUI module and system Realtime Database (RDB). These module are implemented through application threads with each module invoked and made to run in separate thread.
