Accelerator Physics and Synchrotrons Utilization Division (APSUD) |
The Accelerator Physics and Synchrotrons Utilization Division (APSUD) is engaged mainly in following two major activities
- The physics design, beam dynamics support for Indus-1 and Indus-2 Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS) and other accelerator related activities of RRCAT
- Design and development of synchrotron beamlines and frontends for Indus-1 & Indus-2 SRS, their operation and utilization as national user facilities.
In addition to the above, a variety of R&D activities are also being pursued in the division on materials research related to x-ray optics, engineering materials, oxide semiconductors, intermetallic and energy materials; and accelerator physics research on various aspects of the physics design of a new 4th generation synchrotron light source. More details of all these activities are given on following links
- Activities related to accelerator physics
- Activities related to beamlines and frontends
