WinCC OA SCADA Based Software Applications |
The user interface layer and machine applications for Indus control system runs on commercial Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and virtual instrumentation packages, to cater with the diversified requirements of different systems involved.
Currently Indus-2 control system software is handling almost 15000 signals of Indus sub systems. The sub-system data is acquired @1Hz in SCADA system over TCP/IP using custom communication interface. The system also interfaces to DSO, Tesla-meter, RF Synthesizer and other devices over serial, GPIB and Ethernet bus. Communication with third party data acquisition applications has also been implemented for centralized data management.
The overall architecture of Indus control system software is modular and scalable. It is possible to control and monitor any sub-system parameter over the network. GUI panels have been designed and control scripts have been developed to provide sequenced operations like cycling, Ramping, setting a group of supplies etc. Other features like trends, authorization, authentication, automation of operational sequences,alarms etc. Have been implemented.
Software of following sub systems have been developed using WinCC OA SCADA. Software modules have been developed for all sub systems, for logging data into central database.
